Saleha, a Muslim wall painting artist based in Toronto reached out to me to do portfolio session. I was super excited about the work she does when she talked to me through the phone. She was very energetic all throughout the shooting session. We shot photos for an hour.

We shot some b-roll video clip for another hour. We planned the shoot at golden hour which have helped us to get some lighting conditions. All the shots were taken using only natural light.

The one thing I loved about her work was her attention to details. She has spent months on crafting her single artwork. She makes only piece of artwork which makes it more valuable.

The equipment used for this shoot was Sony a7iii with combination of Tamaron 28-75 2.8 lens. And I used a Zhiyun Weebil-S for doing the video shots.

Working with her for two hours was super easy and a new experience for me as visual artist. She talked about her passion towards this particular art with me for some time. She also talked about the business aspects of artworks. How they are sold and shipped to various parts of the world. The one thing what she told me strikes me was she may not see her artwork she worked for months in her entire life once after she ships it. That one thing made me little nervous about the shoot and on the other hand it motivated me to deliver the best photos and videos to her as possible as I can.
